Pacquaio vs Thurman Boxing Betting Analysis

Sounds crazy because Thurman is younger and undefeated, but Pacquiao’s got some advantages that Thurman doesn’t possess. Pacquiao’s the faster fighter. He’s more aggressive and his motor doesn’t stop. He forces opponents to either fight his style, or to spend the night playing defense.
When Keith Thurman tried to protect his lead against Danny Garcia, he almost lost it. One of the reasons is because at this level, you must throw punches and control the ring to win fights. You can’t just play possum ala Floyd Mayweather Jr. and hope to score victories. That doesn’t work in boxing anymore.
Thurman also has a tendency to over extend himself when he punches. He can’t do that against Pacquiao because Manny will move his head to the side or dip under the punch and then land a straight right or straight left.
This boxing match should be a chess match. If Thurman uses his jab and keeps Pacquiao away from him, he’ll have a chance at the win. It’s difficult to see Keith doing that, though. It’s just not in his nature. It’s more likely that Thurman tries to be as aggressive as Pacquiao, which should lead to a Manny victory. Pacquiao can get inside of Thurman’s looping punches and score points. Pacquiao is the fighter to back.
Boxing Match Pick: Manny Pacquiao -155
