Back in 1994 Disney released its now iconic animated movie ‘The Lion King’. Celebrate the 25th anniversary by taking part in a $2,000 GTD satellite tournament!

The Lion King tells the story of Simba (Swahili for lion), a young lion who is to succeed his father, Mufasa, as King of the Pride Lands. However, after Simba's paternal uncle Scar murders Mufasa, Simba is manipulated into thinking he was responsible and flees into exile. When he is older, Simba is given some valuable perspective from his childhood friend, Nala, and his shaman, Rafiki, before returning to challenge Scar to end his tyranny and take his place in the Circle of Life as the rightful King.

The animated musical – its original songs were written and composed by Elton John - features an ensemble voice cast that includes Matthew Broderick, James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, Rowan Atkinson, Whoopi Goldberg, Cheech Marin and many more. The story takes place in a kingdom of lions in Africa and was influenced by William Shakespeare's Hamlet.

25 years after the animated musical, Disney is planning to release a photorealistic computer-animated remake, starting this July in the United States.

Nestled amidst mountains and hillsides, blessed with an almost Mediterranean climate and a cheerful southern character, it enjoys an almost legendary reputation for great events and nightlife, but also for pristine landscapes, peace and relaxation. The heart of this region, which actually includes 5 lakes, is the Wörthersee itself, 17 km long and up to 27° C or 80.6 degrees. Nice and warm!

6/8/19. WBO FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE BOUT Valdez TKO Sanchez and SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT Golovkin TKO Rolls

Welcome to Kenny Rogers Gambling Blog
(Kenny Rogers has been a Sports-Writer and Owner, Kenny Rogers Gambling Biz,
Since Sept 2014)

Valdez vs Sanchez results: Oscar Valdez wins wide decision to retain WBO title

Oscar Valdez pretty much had his way against an outclassed but gritty challenger.

Oscar Valdez made a successful sixth defense of his WBO featherweight title, outclassing a gritty-but-overmatched Jason Sanchez to win a wide decision in Reno, Nevada.

Valdez (26-0, 20 KO) dropped Sanchez (14-1, 7 KO) in the fifth round, but otherwise the fight was largely devoid of any real drama or excitement. Sanchez gave his best effort, but this was a huge step up for him and he just didn’t have the skills or development to hang with Valdez, as hard as he tried.

Valdez, who has now fought twice under trainer Eddy Reynoso, has tried in his last two outings to fine-tune his approach, becoming better defensively. It’s a smart move, but he’s also done it against two guys who had no real hope of beating him.

“I’m happy, but we could always do better. We are improving,” Valdez said after the fight.
There has been talk of Valdez facing Carl Frampton next time out, but he’s not sure he will even stay at featherweight. Asked if he would stay at 126 for another fight, Valdez said he “hopes so,” but he isn’t committing to anything yet.

“I am hoping for another fight at 126, but I’m not sure if that’s the right decision, or we go up to 130,” he said. “I’m willing to fight anybody, to be honest, 130 or 126, let’s do it.

CompuBox saw Sanchez out-throwing Valdez by a lot, but landing at a pretty miserable rate, while Valdez was more economical and accurate.

Valdez landed 195 of 509 total punches (38%), compared to 107 of 869 (12%) for Sanchez. Valdez landed 43% (113 of 262) of his power punches, compared to 18% (91 of 500) for Sanchez. They were about even in body work, Sanchez landing 24 to Valdez’s 23, but Valdez used his jab much better, landing 82 to Sanchez’s 16.

Kenny Rogers picked Sanchez to win. Wrong

Gennady Golovkin vs. Steve Rolls fight results: GGG delivers devastating lights-out KO in Round 4

The Big Drama Show is back. Gennady Golovkin put on a show in his return to the ring with a fourth-round knockout victory over previously undefeated Canadian Steve Rolls at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. This was Golovkin's first fight since his somewhat controversial loss to Canelo Alvarez in September 2018, a bout in which GGG surrendered all three of his middleweight belts.

The fight started out a bit slow with the always patient Golovkin (39-1-1, 35 KOs) picking his spots in the first round. Rolls looked cautious and nervous, throwing hardly any punches in the opening three minutes. From there, however, Rolls (19-1, 10 KOs) gained in confidence and started to land a few nice shots, including a sharp left that snapped Golovkin's head back in the second round.

That proved to be Rolls' best moment of the night as Golovkin systematically broke Rolls down from that point forward. The Canadian chose to fight behind a high guard, which allowed Golovkin to rip him to the body with hooks from both hands.

In the fourth round, Golovkin looped in an unorthodox left hook over the top of Rolls' guard, which landed on the top of his head. Rolls lost his legs after that shot and never recovered, wobbling around on the ropes in a desperate attempt to stay on his feet. His bravery could only take him so far, though, as Golovkin peppered him with shots from all angles before finally unleashing a vicious left hook that rocked Rolls in the jaw and sent him sprawling face-first to the canvas and ended the fight.

Triple G, Gennady Golovkin, is back in action on Saturday against Steve Rolls in a 12-round super middleweight bout. Golovkin hopes to re-solidify his position as one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Also on Saturday, Oscar Valdez battles Jason Sanchez for Valdez’s WBO featherweight title. Check out boxing betting analysis and a free pick for Golovkin-Rolls, Valdez-Sanchez, and a couple of other great matches!

Oscar Valdez  (-1850) vs Jason Sanchez---  (+1025) WBO FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE BOUT

Reno, Nevada 10 PM ET

At 25-0-0, Oscar Valdez should have no trouble beating Jason Sanchez in this featherweight title fight on Saturday. Valdez is undefeated. He’s obviously a good fighter, but Jason Sanchez is undefeated as well.
Although 14-0-0, Sanchez has only one victory of note, a unanimous decision over Juan Carlos Rivera. Rivera was undefeated at 15-0-0 when Sanchez beat him. Valdez has the experience, but Sanchez might be worth backing here. In these lower weight classes, the gap isn’t as large between the champions and the contenders. Sanchez has a chance.

Boxing Betting Pick: Jason Sanchez

Bet $10 Win $102.50 Jason Sanchez

Gennady Golovkin  (-6000) vs Steve Rolls---  (+1600) SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT

Madison Square Gardens, NY 10 PM ET

The fight everyone wants to see on Saturday is Golovkin-Rolls. The reason the fight has generated so much interest is because the last time Golovkin fought, he lost to Canelo Alvarez. The fight went the distance.
Did that take anything out of Triple G? We must hand it to Gennady. He’s not getting back into the ring versus a bad fighter. Steve Rolls is undefeated at 19-0-0. Rolls also has a 2-inch reach advantage.
If he maintains his distance, Rolls could push Gennady in this fight. Canelo hit Triple G with a ton of jabs. Rolls could do the same. The underdog is worth a look here.

Boxing Betting Pick: Steve Rolls

Bet $10 Win $160  Steve Rolls
Bet $10 Win 0.17 cents Gennady Golovkin
Bet Golovkin at your own risk. Remember last wk when Andy Ruiz,  (+1135) stuns boxing world with TKO of Heavyweight Champ A.Joshua. Bet $100= Win $1135

Best Bet: Bet $10 Win $102.50 Jason Sanchez and $10 Win $160 Steve Rolls. Potential Win $262.50. Odds change frequently.
